Art Therapist

Expressive Art Therapy is a powerful alternative to traditional 'talk therapy'.

"Art is a vehicle that allows us to transcend linear time, to travel backward and forward into personal and transpersonal history, into possibilities that weren’t realised, and those that might be” - Pat B. Allen

Sarah Winter believes that creative expression can have a profound effect on well being. Sarah skillfully facilitates creative processes that help individuals to access parts of themselves that cannot always be expressed with words. This, in turn, allows a deeper sense of self-awareness and shifts in habitual patterns. Expressive Art Therapy processes are not focused on ‘art making’ or ‘becoming an artist’… instead, they involve expressing and representing thoughts and feelings through a variety of modalities including drawing, painting, collage, movement, enactment, photography, sculpture, and craft - the possibilities are limitless!

Sarah is passionate about anchoring the insights developed during each session, with practical and creative strategies, that help individuals to establish new and preferred ways of being. She believes that by making the seemingly 'invisible, visible' we have the opportunity to identify patterns of behaviour that in turn, help us to formulate clearer steps towards positive change.
